HER Majesty the Queen will visit Sussex later this month.

The 91-year-old, who last visited the county in 2013, will make two stops on her visit on November 30.

In the morning she will travel to Midhurst where she will visit the Canine Partners charity.

A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said: “Her Majesty will meet young dogs and their volunteer ‘puppy parents’ who take the puppies from the age of eight weeks, implementing a programme of basic training until the age of 12 to 14 months when they are ready to start assistance dog training.

“The Queen will then view a demonstration by assistance dogs in their final stages of training, which involves opening doors, pulling clothes out of a washing machine and using an ATM.”

Her Majesty will then travel to Chichester where she will visit the Festival Theatre.

She will watch a performance by the Youth Theatre, including a scene from their forthcoming Christmas production Beauty and the Beast.

After the performance The Queen will be entertained to lunch in the theatre restaurant, with guests including Dame Patricia Routledge who first appeared at the theatre in 1969 and is also a Chichester resident.

Songs from the Festival Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the Roof will also be performed by Omid Djalili, Simbi Akande, Lucinda Lawrence and Rose Shalloo.

It is understood the Queen will not be with the Duke of Edinburgh for the visit.

The Queen’s last official visit to Sussex was in October 2013 when she embarked on a whistle stop tour of the county.

She arrived in Newhaven by helicopter with Prince Philip and was shown around the town’s West Quay Fisheries.

After mingling with the windswept crowds, they moved on to the Youth Hostel Association South Downs in Southease before stopping for lunch at Harveys Brewery in Lewes.

Their visit culminated with a trip to Brighton to officially open the new county records office, The Keep (pictured) in Falmer.

Previous engagements in the county have seen tour Durrington High School, attend the South of England Show in Ardingly and visit Brighton College. The Queen and Duke will mark their 70th wedding anniversary next week.
