Newhaven Town Station level crossing
A LORRY has crashed into a level crossing barrier at a train station.
At around 7.10am this morning Sussex Police received a call from the British Transport Police (BTP) alerting them to the collision at Newhaven Town Station.
Police said the barrier then broke, causing an empty train to hit the vehicle.
Traffic is currently backing up in the area.
Sussex Roads Police are at the scene.
British Transport Police have been contacted for more information.
No injuries have been reported so far.
