Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach.
The boy was attacked at the junction with Old Church Road and Battle Road, St Leonards, at 6.50pm on Saturday.
The teenager has since been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he is in a critical condition.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Police have arrested a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenage boy was stabbed in Old Church Road near the junction with Battle Road.
“The victim, also aged 16, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton in a critical condition and the suspects are currently in custody.”
Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 quoting Operation Charing.
