ACCOUNTANTS are joining together to give patients at the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital some VAT – that’s value-added treats – in time for Christmas!

Reed Accountancy Brighton has launched a campaign asking local businesses to donate as many advent calendars as possible to the hospital in Eastern Road, Brighton.

Now Lewes-based firm Knill James has added its backing with all staff collecting calendars to donate to the children.

Maz Williams, Senior Executive Recruitment Consultant at Reed Accountancy Brighton, said: “It’s a great cause and a lovely way to do something different and support the poorly children who are in hospital at Christmas time.

“We’ve already had 30 of our clients from right across Sussex sign up and we hope more will get involved.”

Organisers hope to hand over the gifts on November 30, just in time for children to open the first door on their calendar.
