A CYCLIST has been hit by a car in Newhaven.
The collision happened on the A259 Drove Road in Newhaven, near the junction with the A26, at 7.05am this morning.
One ambulance and two fast response cars attended the scene.
The male cyclist was treated and assessed at the scene before being taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
He was not thought to have suffered serious injuries.
The road was later reopened by 8am.
