CHART topping girl group Little Mix will kick off their summer tour next year at the Hove County Ground.

The foursome, best known for hits Shout Out to My Ex and Black Magic, will appear at the home of Sussex County Cricket Club on Friday, July 6.

It is the second year the band has chosen Sussex to play a major outdoor concert. This year they appeared at Ardingly’s South of England Showground.

The County Ground gig is the first of a 15 date run which will see them travel as far as Inverness.

It is not the first time the cricket ground has been used for concerts. In 2013 Cliff Richard played to thousands.

Two years later ska legends Madness played a hit filled set at the venue.

This summer the screams of teenage girls could be heard from miles around as former X Factor contestant Olly Murs performed.

Little Mix are one of the biggest girl groups in the world having formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor.

Members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall have won numerous awards over the years including two MTV Europe Music Awards, two Teen Choice Awards and two Glamour Awards.

They have just released the platinum edition of their album Glory Days. The original version spent five weeks at the top of the UK charts, surpassing any other album released by a female group this century and becoming the longest reigning girl group number one album since the Spice Girls’ debut 20 years ago.

Tickets go on sale from 9.30am on Thursday.
