A PARTNER at law firm DMH Stallard has scooped a top award.

Stuart Evans is the first lawyer based outside of America to receive the Edward R. Gallion Memorial Award which was presented at the INBLF’s annual black tie weekend in San Francisco.

Edward Gallion was a distinguished New York attorney who was a founder of the INBLF.

The Memorial Award is presented to the chapter or international region that has best demonstrated the participation, spirit and advancement that Edward fostered and cherished.

Mr Evans received the award to recognise the European region and his efforts as president of the European chapter of the INBLF.

He said: “I am delighted to have won this award. Edward was a fine lawyer and a great character, and he is much missed from the INBLF.

“It is a great honour not only to receive an award bearing his name but also to follow in the footsteps of a number of highly accomplished attorneys.”
