MR Gay Europe has launched a campaign to get people to donate goods to help keep rough sleepers and their dogs warm and fed this Christmas.

Matt Rood, 36, a dog walker from Brighton who won the Mr Gay Europe crown this year, is behind the campaign in support of the Sussex Homeless Support Project.

Matt needs flasks, camping gear, sleeping bags, rolling mats, warm clothing, socks, toiletries, dog blankets and dog treats.

Donations can be taken to the Sunday Kitchen at the Clock Tower every Sunday between 1-3pm, where 15-20 regular volunteers from Sussex Homeless Support will distribute them, and where the homeless get something warm to drink and eat.

They can also be dropped to the project’s offices in Unit 7, 196 Old Shoreham Road, Hove.

Matt won Mr Gay Brighton, before taking the UK and European crown.
