A BUSINESSMAN has bought his first hotel in Brighton.
Kempfield House, on Maderia Place, is a five storey, grade II listed, Georgian town house which has 13 en-suite letting bedrooms.
Nick Earee, divisional director at leisure property specialist Fleurets, has sold the hotel’s freehold off a guide price of £1.25 million.
New owner Zak Abedi said: “We would like to make a very special, warm and well earned thank you to Nick Earee at Fleurets for his patience and assistance with moving this transaction through to satisfactory completion.
“May we also thank Chris Meyler, the vendor of Kempfield House, as he assisted in every way possible with the purchase and made the Kempfield House Hotel the superb property and business, with the benefit of healthy accounts, which it is today.”
Kempfield House marks his first hotel acquisition and he intends to continue to operate this business and carry out refurbishment in the future. Zak is thrilled with the purchase.
