TWO people were rescued after a woman fell into the sea from a harbour wall.
A woman and a man were pulled from the sea at Newhaven Port, by the mouth of the River Ouse at around 1am this morning.
Sussex Police said the woman fell into the sea after she was believed to have been drinking and the man entered after her to try and save her.
Emergency services were at the scene at around 12.30am.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “No one was seriously injured despite the cold weather.
“Police left the scene at around 2am.”
