MORE than 40 years after closing to the public, Brighton’s West Pier has been illuminated permanently in time for Christmas.
The British Airways i360 has partnered with the West Pier Trust to light up the much-loved ruins.
A new lighting installation, which was turned on for the first time last night, has been installed on the i360 boarding deck.
Each evening after twilight, and after the starling murmuration has finished, simple white lights will adorn the ruins.
