AS part of the Religious Education curriculum at Peacehaven Community School, Year 7 and 8 students have been learning about charitable giving.
Learning also focused on the generosity that Christians believe is important during this celebratory time of year.
As a part of these lessons, the school encouraged all students and staff to make a donation to Food4Seahaven in support of the mayor of Peacehaven.
The school was also pleased to welcome the mayor, Councillor Brian Gosling, to a Year 8 assembly.
He emphasised how much the donations would be appreciated by many members of the community.
Food4Seahaven foodbank provides three days of emergency food to local individuals and families in crisis.
Frontline care professionals, including doctors, social workers, and schools refer people who are facing hunger to the foodbank.
It is based at Denton Island Community Centre, Newhaven.
