FIREFIGHTERS have spent three hours battling a serious blaze in a flat.
Crews were sent to the flat in West Drive in Brighton at around 8am this morning.
Four crews were sent from Roedean and Brighton to deal with the fire.
Six breathing apparatus, four hoses and an aerial ladder platform were used to make the building safe.
Road closures were in place in the immediate area and the public were warned to avoid the scene.
Fire crews have now left and roads have been reopened.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
