A ROAD has been closed after a woman was trapped in an overturned car.
The crash involving one vehicle happened on the A23 Southbound at Alborne.
West Sussex Fire Service were alerted at 4.04pm on Saturday.
Firefighters freed the woman from the overturned car and she was taken to hospital along with a man who was also involved in the crash.
Sussex Police said there are currently no updates on their condition.
The road has reopened, after it was closed to help police investigate the crash.
Highways England tweeted earlier: "A23 southbound closed between A2300 Hickstead and A273 Pyecombe due to a serious injury collision.
"Sussex Police are on scene with South East Coast Ambulance.
"This likely to be a lengthy closure."
