Katie Price banned from driving for the second time

The former Page 3 model and star of daytime TV show Loose Women was convicted of speeding at Brighton Magistrates court at the end of last week.

She did not attend the hearing.

Sussex Police caught the 39-year-old travelling at speeds in excess of 60mph in her instantly recognisable pink Land Rover, near her home in Dial Post in West Sussex, last June.

The speed limit on the road is 50mph.

But when police sent her the notification she did not reply to confirm who had been behind the wheel.

So in addition to the speeding offence she was charged with failing to provide driver details, according to The Sun.

She received six penalty points, and a six-month ban.

She was also given a £750 fine and told to pay £200 costs and a £75 “surcharge”.

It is the second time the former glamour model has lost her driving licence.

She was ordered off the roads in 2012 after failing to respond to two speeding tickets.

It has been a difficult few months for the mother of five.

In November, one of her horses was killed when it strayed on to the A24 near her house with some other horses and was hit by a car.

After the accident she wrote: “We are extremely upset to find out one of our horses was killed last night being hit by a car and don’t appreciate that someone was circulating pictures of our horse dead in the road and put on Facebook.

“We are in shock still and reminds me again of the time in Argentina when I was involved in a horrific car accident when the car I was in killed two horses that died in my arms.”

Then two weeks ago she found herself defending the state of her West Sussex mansion after fans responded to a TV tour of her home by calling it “a dump” and “minging”.

On Loose Women, TV host Keith Lemon drew viewers’ attention to manure on the driveway saying “There is **** everywhere.

“It stinks.”

Fans were amazed by a heap of clutter in the hall way by the front door and a messy corner in her master bedroom, before viewers were taken into her cluttered walk-in wardrobe described as a “jungle” by Lemon.

Viewers took to Twitter to show their disgust.

One wrote: “Good lord. What a dump. Must be Katie Price.”

Another tweeted: “Katie Price’s house is minging.”

A third wrote: “Wow Katie Price lives like a pig. Jeez women clean up your house.

“Literally you live in a ****hole.”

Defending her home on the show Ms Price said: “I said to them to give me two more weeks as we are having it renovated.

“It will look completely different, but you guys didn’t want to wait.”

She has also been campaigning for online trolling to be made a specific cirminal offence and for the creation of a register of offenders.

It follows online abuse by an unnamed 19-year-old, who received a caution from Sussex Police for trolling Ms Price’s disabled 15-year-old son Harvey on twitter.
