STAFF at a cosmetic clinic staged two events to raise money for charity.

A New You Clinic, an independent clinic in Trafalgar Street, Brighton, is supporting mental health charity MenTalkHealth and the Macmillan Horizon Centre.

Principal Jackie Knight said: “These two charities, not very well known in Sussex, do fantastic work in our city, which is the reason we decided to support them.”

The events included a Red Carpet event at the clinic where people treated themselves to a HydraFacial and enjoyed first class hospitality from the staff.

Guests experienced a treatment that leaves your skin with an immediate and lasting glow.

The other event was an open house attended by celebrities at Malmaison, Brighton where the clinic launched a new line of luxury treatments.

The Horizon Centre has been built in partnership with Brighton Hospital and offers its services to people affected with cancer.

The non-clinical building offers hair and wig support, support groups, financial and benefits advice, physical activities, counselling and complimentary therapies.

MenTalkHealth’s UK Musical therapy started off as a musical project and has grown into a community crowdfunding project in Brighton to help people be honest and funny with their respective mental health issues.

Both events were very successful and raised more than £300 for the two charities.

Jackie Knight said, “All the money we have raised from these events will go to the two charities so they can continue the amazing work they do which is dedicated to beating cancer and for the work on mental health.

“We have also decided to do more events throughout this year to support more local charities so make a date and come along to support us and these events.”
