Two men have been arrested over a stabbing that left a man in a serious condition in hospital.
The 31-year-old victim was stabbed in Herington Road, Arundel, around 8.35pm on Tuesday.
He was taken for treatment at St Richard's Hospital in Chichester and was in a serious condition.
Two men have since been arrested in connection to the stabbing.
Police said a 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
Both are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.
Police said the investigation is at an early stage, but officers are following certain lines of enquiry.
They said the incident is not believed to be a random attack.
Anyone who witnessed the attack or who has information is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting Operation Rushton.
