I agree with Kenny Lloyd over the unfairness of the DWP health assessments (Letters, March 9).
But I disagree with his view on park benches, three days later in the letters pages.
Personally I welcome an extra handle bar on the bench to help me up or wrap my hand bag round next to me while I read.
I do not welcome the status quo where benches are filthy.
The seating in Jubilee Street is dirty and has been left to ruin in Brighton.
On the seafront I cannot enjoy a read in the wind shelters owing to either the stench of human urine or the obstruction of left-over dirty bedding because someone has claimed ownership of the bench for themselves – just like those who put down a towel on a communal deckchair.
Some people are genuinely homeless through no fault of their own.
