Albion defender Shane Duffy is "proud" to have been named the Republic of Ireland's international player of the year.
The centre-half landed the prize at the FAI awards ceremony in Dublin last night for an outstanding World Cup qualifying campaign, which ended in defeat in the play-offs for Martin O'Neill's side against Denmark.
Duffy, also enjoying a fine season in the Premier League with Albion, beat James McClean to the prize. The West Brom winger won goal of the year for his winner against Wales in Cardiff.
Duffy described winning the award in a tweet as a "Very proud moment".
