AN Arundel brewery has helped a Merseyside pub scoop the country’s top award.
Real ale campaign group CAMRA named its Pub of Year as The Cricketers Arms in St Helen’s.
The pub was saved from dereliction by owners Andy and Denise Evans and beer, of course, was the most important category.
This is where Sussex brewery, Listers, based in The Old Dairy at Ford, comes in.
Listers Brewery has the honour of being the only House Bitter at The Cricketers Arms.
Head Brewer and owner Phil Waite said: “Our traditional yet full flavoured beers are very popular in the North and we’re excited about getting our beer to as many people as possible.
“Being a part of The Cricketers Arms success is a huge part of that.”
