FREE roast dinners are on offer to “celebrate togetherness”.

Hungry residents will be able to tuck into their roast of choice at Brighton Youth Centre on April 8, courtesy of building developer First Base.

The company behind the renovation of the old Amex House site has collaborated with the Brighton Sunday Roast Club (BSRC), Brighton Casserole Club and Impetus, charities which aim to reduce loneliness, to host the event.

Russell Tisbury, chef at the Ladies Mile pub in Patcham, will be cooking the food.

Pat O’Byrne, who captured the hearts of the nation after she asked for company over a roast on the BSRC Facebook page, will be at the event, which was created because of her story.

She said: “I had no idea my post would attract such interest and become such a big event. I’m delighted my story has inspired so many people.”
