JURGEN LOCADIA is targeting a Premier League start for Albion after shining in the FA Cup.

The versatile Dutch striker produced a lively display in his first 90 minutes at Manchester United in the quarter-finals.

That followed a goalscoring debut against Coventry and substitute appearances against Swansea and Everton following his club record £14 million move from PSV Eindhoven in January and recovery from hamstring trouble.

Now Locadia wants to make a bigger contribution in Albion’s remaining eight matches, beginning with Leicester’s visit at the end of the month.

The run-in also includes the return clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, the significance of which has already been made clear to Locadia by supporters.

He told The Argus: “I’ve been (fully) fit now for two weeks. I think I’m ready to play.

“I feel good, I hope to play with eight games to go.

“There are big games, especially Crystal Palace. The fans told me about it.

“All the games are big games.

“We’ve been doing a good job and it’s important to keep winning games.”

Albion played well at Old Trafford, despite suffering a second successive 2-0 defeat after 15 goals during a seven-match unbeaten run.

Locadia said: “I think if we play like we did we have a good shot to stay in the league. The only thing is to score goals.

“We were scoring. If we play like that I know we are going to stay up.”

Albion have added a third screen for the Amex beamback of the Palace game on April 14 to cope with demand.

More than 2,500 tickets have already been sold.
