THE co-founder of a humanitarian aid charity ran Sunday’s Brighton Marathon dressed as a refugee.
Paul Hutchings, of Refugee Support Europe, finished in seven hours and 21 minutes.
He wore jeans, shirt and a small rucksack.
He is also preparing for a week-long walk re-tracing the Refugee Route from Idomeni in Greece to Skopje in FYR Macedonia.
This time he will be accompanied by 20 Refugee Support volunteers who will be undertaking the arduous trek from April 29 until to May 5.
He said: ““I’ve run the marathon a couple of times and so did think a 26 mile walk around Brighton would be fun. I was wrong about that, it was far tougher than I expected on both mind and body.”
