Two men are pictured somersaulting from the top of the helter skelter on Brighton Palace Pier into the sea below.
The pair were pictured on Sunday afternoon as sunbathers packed the beaches.
Despite the mini heatwave, the sea temperature is still only about 10C.
One of the jumpers, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “We don’t consider ourselves as daredevils in the slightest. We are both very calculated when it comes to the risks involved with this kind of stuff.
“We do it for one reason, and that’s the feeling you get that high up, upside down and to walk away with an image we know turns heads.
"People will call us stupid and immature, even timewasters, we have had it all, we made the news over a year ago from jumping off the Shoreham Flyover.
“It’s not to impress anyone, it’s just for fun. The photo is just that bit of evidence to show that we did it.”
