Five schools across East Sussex are to close as teachers strike over a pay row.
Staff within the National Education Union (NEU) are pushing for a 2 per cent rise from East Sussex County Council.
At Priory School, Lewes, 61 members have walked out and the school is closed for Years 7-10.
Fifty teachers at Seaford Head School have held a strike and the school is closed for Years 7 - 10. Private study rooms are still running for Years 12 and 13.
Peacehaven Community is also closed with Year 11 revision sessions.
St Catherine's College, Eastbourne, has closed but its Year 10 excursion is still going ahead as planned.
Uckfield Community College is also affected by strikes.
