MYSTERIOUS graffiti displaying an Argus reporter’s name has been daubed across a wall.

“Amir Rasavi is a hack” has been splashed across the side of Latest bar, opposite our offices in Manchester Street, Brighton.

Staff noticed the graffiti, which has a spelling mistake in, last week, though it is not known when it was painted – or who painted it.

Why they chose Amir’s name is also a mystery.

Maybe it is because he has written a number of stories about the graffiti issue that has plagued Brighton and Hove in the past year.

In particular the tag that began appearing on buildings around the city from August 2017.

The mark of vandalism appears to be a P in a heart, or a clenched fist.

Amir has reported on the people of Brighton’s anger at the ongoing problem, with many unhappy with the state of place.

Residents have said it portrays the city in a bad way in the eyes of visitors.
