PRINCE Harry and bride-to-be Meghan Markle have been invited to the Royal Pavilion.
Brighton's former royal residence has said the newly-announced Duke and Duchess of Sussex are welcome at the Grade I-listed building any time they can make it.
The invitation will be formally sent to Harry, the second man to be given dukedom of the county, and Ms Markle - Sussex's first Duchess - in the coming weeks.
They were given the titles by the Queen this morning ahead of their wedding later today.
Councillor Alan Robins, chairman of Brighton and Hove City Council's economic development and culture committee, said: “We are thrilled to have Harry and Meghan as the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"As Brighton and Hove is one of the largest cities in Sussex, we hope they visit as soon as they can.
“We think a visit to the Royal Pavilion would be the perfect start to getting to know the area.
"It is beautiful, lavish and fascinating and a perfect place for a romantic visit.”
