SUSSEX has so much to offer the people who live in our beautiful county and visitors alike.

As the weather improves, we should all take advantage of the sunshine and get ourselves out and about, visiting both man made attractions and those created by nature.

On pages 16 and 17 The Argus has printed a list of some of the attractions which are easily accessible by bus, giving you the option of hopping on board, relaxing and maybe stopping off at a pub en route for lunch and a beer to make it a real day out to remember.

The list of attractions in our county are virtually endless, so there is no excuse for chilling out in front of the television, although you might want to make an exception today as it is the Royal Wedding and then the FA Cup Final between Manchester United and Chelsea later in the day.

Nevertheless, as the summer approaches, there is simply no excuse for staying indoors.

A visit to the stunning Ashdown Forest could be on the cards or indeed a trip to Beachy Head, but don’t be tempted to go too near to the edge of the cliffs as some foolhardy people have done recently.

That is quite literally taking your life into your hands and tempting fate.

Devil’s Dyke is well worth a visit as are the Fishbourne Royal Palace and Arundel Castle.

But the choice is virtually endless, with so many beautiful places to relax and enjoy a real family day out.

Why travel to the Yorkshire Dales or the Lake District when we have so much beauty at our very fingertips?
