BUS giant Stagecoach has launched £6 million investment in new buses between Littlehampton, Worthing and Brighton.

Thirty double deck buses will feature free customer wi-fi and USB charging points.

They are British built with latest “Euro 6” cleaner and greener engines, along with ultra-convenient smart phone tickets and contactless payment available.

They will operate on the Coastliner 700 between Littlehampton, Worthing, Shoreham, Hove and Brighton.

Edward Hodgson, managing director at Stagecoach South, said: “We’re so pleased to be making such a significant investment in 30 new buses for the local area.

“The new double deckers provide a modern upgrade to customers travelling on the route, with USB charging, free wi-fi and contactless payments as well as incorporating an improved seat design for added comfort.

“We hope the host of new features will help improve the perceptions of travelling by bus as we look to welcome new customers onboard.”

The new buses were launched on the routes for the first time yesterday.
