A SHOPPING shopping centre has won two industry honours.

The annual Revo Purple Apple Awards were held at The Brewery in Central London.

They recognise the best in town and shopping centre marketing within the UK retail property sector Brighton’s Churchill Square had two nominations in the events category for its “Come fly with me” campaign from August 2017 and “Coal-hearted Christmas” in November/December of the same year.

Both campaigns scooped merit awards and centre director Mark Buchanan-Smith was delighted.

He said: “Everyone at Churchill Square is thrilled that we’ve been recognised with two highly sought-after Purple Apple Merit awards.

“Last summer we transformed part of the centre into an airport departure lounge, complete with a baggage carousel, section of a plane that featured holiday-ready beauty makeovers and more.

“We even gave one lucky shopper a trip for two to New York through our Brighton Life app. “Then over the festive period we wanted to give the traditional grotto a twist, so we brought coal-hearted Christmas to the people of Brighton. We created an interactive experience where youngsters had to dig for gold whil hearing stories from miner elves before meeting Santa.”
