POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a man was hospitalised during a seafront fracas.

Officers were called Marine Parade near the Lido in Worthing shortly after 6pm on Tuesday this week.

They cordoned off the area and an ambulance was called after a 48-year-old man was attacked.

He had cuts to his head and his hand, and was treated at Worthing Hospital.

It was reported that he had been struck several times during the brawl.

Police say they made four arrests, including two women aged 29 and 33, and two men aged 29 and 32, all of no fixed address.
