POLICE are looking for a hit and run driver who left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

The motorist hit a 29-year-old man on the B2244 Beech Farm Road, Cripps Corner in Battle, who was driving in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, from St Leonards, was riding a 125cc Lifan motorbike. He suffered serious hand injuries and grazing.

He was treated at the Conquest Hospital in St Leonards after the crash at 3.25pm on June 6.

The car was dark blue or black, police said.

PC Becky Knight, of the East Sussex roads policing unit, said: "I'm appealing for the driver of that vehicle, anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant dash-cam footage, to come forward."
