TWO charity staff are tackling the Three Peaks Challenge this weekend.
Age UK Brighton and Hove’s volunteer co-ordinator Richard Harris and resident handyman Brian Spring left for Fort William in Scotland at 4am today.
They were due to start their challenge at 8am.
They are climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales – Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon – and are due to finish on Monday morning.
Rachel Cashman, chief executive at Age UK Brighton and Hove, said: “Richard and Brian have been training hard and we’re really proud of their efforts.
“The money they raise will make a huge difference to older people across the city, going directly toward our vital services. Good luck guys, we’ll be willing you on when your legs feel heavy.”
