TWO women were seriously injured in a car crash.

The two-car collision happened on the A21 at Hurst Green on Sunday, injuring the ladies in a white Hyundai.

They were travelling south when the car collided with a black Audi at 4.15pm.

The 64-year-old Hyundai driver, from Hurst Green, and her 74-year-old passenger suffered fractures and were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

A Sussex Police spokesman would not tell us which parts of the women’s bodies were fractured.

The Audi driver, a 54-year-old man from London, suffered whiplash and bruising and was treated at Conquest Hospital in St Leonards.

PC Gary Douglas, of the Polegate road policing unit, said: “ We’re keen to speak to anyone who may have information which could help our enquiries into the incident.

“We’d also like to thank drivers whose journeys were delayed or disrupted by this crash for their patience and understanding.”
