A police officer peddled more than 50 miles on an epic ride to raise money for charity.
PC Andre Owen cycled the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton Bike Ride at the weekend.
He completed the route from Clapham Common to the seafront in four hours and 24 minutes, a feat which used up nearly 2,000 calories.
PC Owen raised funds privately for British Heart Foundation, but also raised funds for the Care of Police Survivors (COPS) charity which supports the families of officers who have died on duty.
He said: “As a serving police officer I hope my family will never need their support, and I hope no one else does.
“But the reality is they are needed more and more often. Please help me raise funds so the families of those officers can be supported.”
