An elderly cyclist remains in intensive care this morning, following a crash with a car on the seafront in Brighton.
Emergency services were called to Kings Road at 8.15pm on Sunday, June 24.
The crash between the cyclist and a gold Ford Ka took place at the junction with Preston Street.
An 80-year-old cyclist, a foreign national, suffered serious head injuries in the crash, while the driver of the Ka, a 64-year-old woman from Brighton, was not hurt.
Onlookers provided first aid support the cyclist before paramedics arrived.
Police say the family of the cyclist has been informed, and he remains at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
The westbound carriageway was closed for nearly four hours while officers from the Roads Policing Unit carried out an investigation.
