WORLD Cup fever has led to customers requesting refunds for events that clash with England’s big semi-final tonight.
The historic run of the Three Lions has seen audience members asking for their tickets to tonight’s performance of The Globe at the Brighton Open Air Theatre (BOAT) to be refunded so they can watch Gareth Southgate’s side take on Croatia.
The venue has had roughly a quarter of their audience for tonight’s show ask for refunds.
Anne-Marie Williams, manager of BOAT, said: “It’s very difficult trying to accommodate last minute changes to bookings when so many of the shows are already sold out.”
She added they were proud of England reaching the semi-finals and they hope to be a haven for people who want respite from the World Cup crowds.
“The Globe is the jewel in the crown that is our season and offers a brilliant alternative,” she added.
