A DRUG dealer who stashed nearly £30,000 worth of cocaine has been jailed.

Police raided the home of Daniel Lindsay in May this year and found the white powder.

The 35-year-old told officers that the drugs were in a wardrobe in his bedroom after they broke down the door.

Now he has been jailed for three years and four months after being sentenced at Brighton Crown Court.

Rachel Beckett, prosecuting, said officers found 221 grammes of the class A drug in a bucket at Blackwheel Farm Road in East Grinstead.

He also had baking powder for cutting the drugs, and other paraphernalia including the phones he used to arrange deals.

Messages on the phone read: “Call me when you get this, got a few big orders for you.”

Ms Beckett said the drugs had a total estimated street value worth between £21,600 and £31,000.

Judge Jeremy Gold QC sentenced Lindsay to three years and four months in prison after he admitted possessing a class A drug with the intent to supply it.
