A NEW app launched by Lewes District Council means environmental issues can be reported immediately by local residents.

The “Report It” app gives local people a quick and easy way to report issues like fly-tipping, graffiti and littering instantly when they are out and about.

To report an issue, residents just need to download the app to their phone, choose the right category then send a photo.

Their report goes straight to the relevant person at the council who can sort the issue quickly.

Cabinet Portfolio Member for Environmental Impact Councillor Isabelle Linington said: “We are working hard to make our district and environment a great place to live and using this Report It app is one way local people can get involved.

“Anyone can use the app which means the council can respond swiftly to issues highlighted by residents to ensure the district becomes a cleaner place to live.”
