A MUM-OF-TWO suffering from an ear condition that made her hear sounds that were not there took her own life, an inquest heard.
Deborah Tuthill had been struggling with tinnitus before she plunged to her death from Beachy Head.
Police and volunteers tried to save the 53-year-old’s life at the infamous cliffs on January 20.
Her GP Myles Johnson said she had been prescribed anti-depressants for anxiety.
The inquest heard she wrote to her doctor in November 2017 after becoming depressed after a divorce, saying: “I had some quite significant life events I’m currently dealing with.”
The single mum’s brother, Tim Vann, told Eastbourne Coroners’ Court she was “never the same” after the divorce. He said: “It was a massive thing that really upset her.
Coroner Fiona King concluded suicide.
