A RESIDENTIAL home has been awarded an overall good rating at its latest CQC inspection.
Officials visited Parkside Lodge, in Wykeham Road, Worthing, and gave a good grading in all five of its key services.
They are safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and leadership.
The home provides care for 20 people, and it also received a good grading at the last inspections in November 2015.
Inspectors said: “People were protected by staff who received regular safeguarding training and knew how to recognise and report and concerns.
“Staff felt confident that the manager would respond to any concerns raised.
“Medicines were managed, stored, and given to people as prescribed and disposed of safely.
“Policies and procedures were in place to ensure the safe ordering, administration, storage and disposal of medicines.
“People spoke positively of the quality of the food.
People’s nutritional needs were assessed and those at risk were weighed on a monthly or weekly basis and referrals or advice was sought when needed.
“People’s hydration needs in the home were also being met.”
Inspectors also commented staff members encouraged people to be independent despite living in a residential home.
