A NEW arts and craft shop has marked its opening by supporting a primary school.
Hobbycraft, which opened at Pavilion Retail Park in Brighton last month, has partnered with Carlton Hill Primary School.
It has provided art supplies for pupils to decorate their snail sculpture for the local Junior Snailway.
Students received paints and brushes to help them transform their plain white snail – into a bright yellow snail called Carl.
Designed to help raise funds for Martlets Hospice in Hove, the Snailspace Snailway will consist of 50 giant snail sculptures and 50 junior snails which will feature in an art trail around the city.
The project starts on September 15 and runs through until November 18.
