PROFESSIONAL jockey Andrew Glassonbury has launched a new business caring for sick, off form or injured racehorses.
Glassonbury Equine, based at Storrington, offers a recuperation service for horses which have a racing injury, or are struggling to find their form.
The new centre includes stables, a six-bay horse walker, schooling facilities, a seven-furlong all-weather gallop, starting stalls and full off-road access to the South Downs which allow horses to gain fitness with low-impact, varying-gradient hill work.
Andrew, 32, has spent his entire working life with horse, the last ten years riding professionally for trainer Gary Moore for whom he was assistant trainer and for whom he still rides.
“I understand horses both in and out of the saddle,” said Andrew.
