TWO charities have joined together to stage this year’s Starr Water Wars challenge.

The Starr Trust and Rockinghorse children’s charity are looking for teams

for the multi-watersport fundraising event on Sunday September 2 at Hove Lagoon.

Competitors will go head-to-head in a series of challenges, including giant paddle boarding, kayaking, raft building and a raft race across the lagoon!

Brighton youth charity The Starr Trust supports individuals aged 10-18 to fulfil their potential in sports, arts and education.

Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton.

Rosie Molloy, fundraising manager at The Starr Trust, said: “This is a fantastic chance for local businesses to compete against each other whilst fundraising for both our charities.

“For businesses who don’t wish to take part, there will be some great advertising opportunities, so please do get in touch to sign up.”

Entry is £300 per team, including food and drink on the day, an event t-shirt and participant medal.

Kicking off at 10am, there will be plenty of live entertainment throughout the day, hosted by Latest TV presenter Guy Lloyd.
