IF YOU are over the age of 30 the chances are you may never have heard the name Joe Sugg.

Having said that, thanks to the popularity of BBC Television’s hugely-popular Strictly Come Dancing, it is extremely likely Joe will become even more famous than he is already.

For those still in the dark, Joe is an online celebrity thanks to YouTube, where he has a quite incredible eight million subscribers.

Despite that success, Strictly is an entirely different ball(room) game.

As it gears up for its 16th series, the show remains as popular as ever and there is no doubt Joe will find himself in the full glare of the media spotlight.

He claims that he “can’t dance” but others have said the same before only to be transformed into seasoned dancers if they manage to survive the dreaded vote off and make it to the latter stages of the competition.

Joe will inevitably face trials and tribulations along the way and a few barbed comments from notoriously acerbic judge Craig Revel Horwood, particularly in the early stages when the dancers are still finding their feet, sometimes quite literally.

But it is great fun, despite the hard work the novice dancers have to put in and, let’s face it, there have been some quite remarkable performances over the years... including those which remain firmly etched in the memory for their comedic value.

Who could possibly forget Ann Widdecombe descending from the ceiling or TV presenter John Sergeant reaching the latter stages despite possessing two left feet?

So, good luck Joe, but we have a feeling you are going to do Sussex proud.
