A PASSENGER shouted abuse and mocked a severely disabled man on a bus, causing him to cower in fright.
The disabled man, 52, who was with a carer, was in his wheelchair on the 5A bus in Ditchling Road, Brighton, when the abuse happened.
Another passenger suddenly launched a venomous verbal attack at him, leaving him terrified.
Police have released a CCTV image of the abusive man. He is white, in his forties or fifties and with receding grey hair.
He was wearing a light-coloured polo shirt.
Police appealed for witnesses to the incident, which happened on Tuesday, July 24, at 11.25am.
A spokesman said: “Other passengers or anyone else who may have seen or heard the incident, or who recognises the suspect, are asked to contact police online or by phoning 101.”
