A FUNERAL directors has moved offices in Haywards Heath.

P & S Gallagher has offices at Weald House, Lower Church Road, Burgess Hill, as well as Hassocks, Preston Park and Haywards Heath.

The new offices are in Sussex Road, Haywards Heath.

A company spokesman said: “We were delighted by so many people from our industry attending, even as far as Northern Ireland.

“Also we had Mayor Jim Knight, local clergy, MPs and members of the public who came along to view our state-of-the-art mortuary facility, new garaging and beautifully designed office and client areas.

“We even had a display of unusual coffins, some disguised as ballet shoe, canal barge, vintage car and even a barrel bag!

“We are proud to have invested in a brand-new onsite Service Suite for up to 50 attendees at a funeral service.

“This a non-denominational space which is available to any of our clients wanting to hold a service locally.

“We had a blessing for the Service Suite from Reverend Ray Smith from St Wilfrid’s Church, Deacon David Turner from St Paul’s Church and local Celebrant Francis Tulley.

“We had a carriage pulled by two beautiful black horses supplied by Sonny Hillier to take people for a ride around the town…the horses were kept very busy and attracted a lot of attention.

“Many varied questions from the public were asked and answered by our valuable team of staff.

“All in all, we are thrilled by feedback from everyone which made the whole event such an astounding success.

“As a family business we are able to accommodate the increasingly diverse requirements that families have arranging funerals.”
