A FATHER has been charged with causing the death of his ten-week-old son.
Christopher Barnes's baby, Harry, died of an internal head injury in June last year.
Barnes, a heating engineer of Barlavington Way in Midhurst, near Chichester, has been charged with manslaughter and with causing grievous bodily harm.
The 28-year-old is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates' Court on September 11.
A 25-year-old woman who had also been arrested and interviewed on suspicion of manslaughter will not be prosecuted.
Harry died in Southampton Hospital on June 25 following admission the previous day.
