A 47-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill at his home.
Police were called to Robert Lodge in Whitehawk Road, Brighton, on Thursday night over concerns for a man’s welfare.
An eyewitness reported seeing four police vans and an ambulance at the address shortly after 9pm.
He said officers were “surrounding” the building.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “At 8pm on Thursday, police went to an address in Whitehawk Road, Brighton, after a report of concern for the welfare of a man at the address.
“Officers entered and arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of making threats to kill.”
“He is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.”
The man remained in custody on Friday and this is the latest update we have been able to get.
