A WOMAN was flown to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries after she was run over by her own car.
It is not yet clear exactly how the accident happened.
Police said: “The woman had been knocked over by her own car and suffered serious injuries.”
Emergency services were called to the accident in Greenland Road,
Worthing, at about 11.35am yesterday.
A wall at the scene was reduced to rubble.
The Kent, Surrey and sussex Air Ambulance was called and landed at nearby Pond Lane Recreation Ground, close to the Park View pub.
The woman was
airlifted to hospital at about 12.15pm
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Emergency services were called to Greenland Road, Worthing, at about 11.35am to a woman who had been seriously injured.
“The woman had been knocked over by her own car.
“An air ambulance has landed to take her to hospital.”
South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Trust were
contacted but no more
details were available at the time of going to press last night.
